Pauline loves hotels. She loves staying in them, She loves developing them. She loves running them. She also loved owning one. That was back in 2001, when she and her husband built ‘The Outram’ in Perth, Western Australia.
Under the management of Pauline’s company “My Hotel” this hotel’s award-winning style saw it become part of The Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Pauline now sits on the board of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, a position that gives exposure to hotels all over the world and a unique insight into what makes for a great hotel.
Hospitality runs in Pauline’s viens, she’s passionate about the business and from her unique perspective she can spot opportunities and trends that others might miss.
Pauline is the visionary in the group, Pauline develops the properties ensuring that they are Independent with a Global Identity.
Lisa Maclaren is the Operations Manager of the Myhotel Group. Lisa has 30 years experience in the operation of cafes/restaurants/hotels/resorts in Rottnest Island, Margaret River, Dunsbourgh and Perth CBD. Lisa’s comprehensive knowledge of the Tourism Industry in the South West has resulted in the positive growth of the Myhotel Group.
The group is part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World of the World which gives Lisa an insight into the marketing and operation of hotels/resorts in UK, and Asia. This knowledge assists with the growth in international tourism to the two Myhotel Properties, Smiths Beach Resort and Injidup Spa Retreat as well as regional promotions through SLH.
Lisa works the properties to ensure that the systems are followed and the style and service is paramount to retain the Global Brand and Independent recognition.
Lisa Miles is a Member of the Australian Certified Practising Accountants Association and has extensive career experience in hospitality. She has worked with the My Hotel Group for several years and assists with the financial modelling and analysis of project work undertaken by Jewel Hospitality as well as daily review and performance of the operational side of the business. She currently contracts in both hospitality and property management and acquisition.
Lisa previously worked with Sime Darby Australia where she worked on a number of hospitality projects as well as modelling and reviewing potential acquisitions for the group. Prior to joining Sime Darby, Lisa has worked with BDO Corporate Finance and as an Accountant for Hartley Poynton Ltd.
